Project Development Plan for the Year 2011

{alt}

Months of intensive preparation by FastTrack management and the CISAC Secretariat in the first half of 2010 led to the creation of the draft three-year Roadmap 2011-2013 and the draft Project Development Plan for the year 2011.

The draft Project Development Plan for 2011 is the result of the joint ranking process by FastTrack and CISAC societies. In 2010, a total of 17 societies contributed to this ranking process.

New ranking parameters were introduced to streamline the ranking and prioritization process, although some societies participating in the ranking process noted that the revised parameters were sometimes difficult to interpret. FastTrack management and CISAC Secretariat have therefore drafted a revised set of ranking parameters for approval by the CISAC Supervisory Board (CSB) and the FastTrack Management Board in their joint meeting, scheduled to take place at the next CIS Sessions in Prague in October.

In their summer meeting, the FastTrack and CISAC Boards of Directors review the recommendations from the CISAC CSB/FastTrack Management Board and decide on the three-year Roadmap and the Project Development Plan for the year to come. In Bilbao (June 2010), the FastTrack and CISAC Boards approved the following 2011 Project Development Plan:

FastTrack Management will finalize the draft 2011 Project Budget over the next few months, for initial approval by the CISAC CSB and the FastTrack Management Board and its final adoption by the FastTrack and CISAC Boards in Budapest in November 2010.
